Evotech Air Quality becomes member of International RESET Programme

Evotech Air Quality has become one of the first corporate members of the renowned International RESET Programme, in a bid to drive forward indoor air quality initiatives and assess and certify buildings as being RESET Air accredited for our clients.

Established in 2013, RESET is a set of international standards and assessment tools and services to develop actionable, long term strategies towards health and sustainability for the built environment. Becoming a member of RESET’s new corporate membership and accreditation scheme, demonstrates that Evotech has achieved high standards of knowledge and experience and RESET Accredited Professional status will allow key personnel to evaluate and certify individual client buildings, enabling them to carry the RESET badge.

RESET has been a forerunner in scientifically measuring, tracking, and reporting on indoor environmental quality for many years, providing a benchmark for leading third party green building certifications around the world. RESET Air sets monitoring requirements and performance targets for healthy indoor air in commercial and public buildings, and its requirements for continuous monitoring can be used to determine whether or not a space is considered healthy.

As a nation, we spend around 90% of our lives indoors, and yet the air we breathe indoors can be up to five times more polluted than outside, creating significant health risks to building occupants. Pollution is made up of many compounds including greenhouse gases, chemicals, and particulate matter (PM), which is made up of both solid and liquid materials, mould spores and pollen. Scientists believe there is a direct link between the spread of Coronavirus and air pollution, with atmospheric PM creating a suitable environment for transporting the virus.

By monitoring the quality of air in buildings and putting real-time data at the fingertips of building managers, Evotech engineers are able to take specific remedial action, including utilising the latest air filtration and sterilisation technologies, to filter out impurities down to PM1.0, and kill circulating bacteria and viruses, in working environments, educational settings, and public buildings.
