Evotech awarded Cyber Essentials certification for second year

Evotech has been re-awarded the Government’s National Cybersecurity Centre (NCSC) ‘Cyber Essentials’ certification. 

Cyber Essentials is a cyber security standard introduced by the UK government that aims to provide organisations with pragmatic protection against the most common cyber security threats. 

According to the Cyber Security Breaches Survey published by the UK government in March 2021, four in 10 businesses (39%) and a quarter of charities (26%) had reported having cyber security breaches or attacks in the prior 12 months. 

The NCSC was created in 2016 to support the public sector and industry along with the general public. When incidents occur, the NCSC provides effective incident response to minimise harm to the UK, help with recovery and learn lessons for the future. Cyber Essentials is a certification process designed to support organisations in protecting against cyberattacks. Achieving the NCSC Cyber Essentials accreditation is also a key procurement requirement for participation in Government contracts involving the handling of sensitive and personal data. 

Achieving the Cyber Essentials certification demonstrates Evotech’s commitment in maintaining best practice security across the organisation and ensures customers that the company has the necessary cybersecurity controls in place.
