Evotech supports Clean Air Day for fifth year

20 Jun 2024

Evotech is proud to support Clean Air Day 2024, marking another milestone in our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and improved indoor air quality.

Reflecting on our pledges made on Clean Air Day 2020, we celebrate our progress and reaffirm our pledges to reduce carbon emissions and improve indoor air quality for our staff and customers.

We have completed five years of sustainable progress since making our initial Clean Air Day pledges, and Evotech has undertaken several impactful initiatives during this time to fulfil our promises, including:

Reduced energy usage and carbon emissions

We have significantly cut down our energy consumption and reduced our carbon footprint. A major highlight is the refurbishment of our Elland office that includes, the installation of a hybrid mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR) system and solar PV panels which have improved the building's Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating from E to A, substantially reducing our carbon emissions.

Introduction of Clean Transport

Transitioning from diesel to electric vehicles, we have made significant strides in promoting clean transportation. As part of our broader goal to achieve a fully electric fleet of vehicles, we have replaced all our company cars with EVs and are excited to announce the arrival of our first electric van, which is testament to our journey toward a greener, healthier future.

Indoor air quality monitoring

At Evotech, we prioritise the health and well-being of our staff, customers, and their tenants. We actively monitor indoor air quality at our sites and many client buildings, to ensure transparency about the air building occupants breathe and maintain optimal, healthy environments.

Our commitment to energy efficient, sustainable buildings and good indoor air quality remains steadfast. We believe that collective action and continuous innovation are key to addressing environmental challenges and ensuring cleaner air for all.

As a leading provider of environmental and engineering solutions, Evotech is dedicated to improving building performance and sustainability and through innovative technologies and sustainable practices, we strive to create healthier, more energy-efficient environments for our clients.
